This past week, I was lucky enough to have early access to the Indie Beauty Expo in New York as press on behalf of L’Oréal and Webedia. Here’s the inside scoop!

Why You Should Add “Songs with Our Eyes Closed” by Tyler Kent White to Your Poetry Collection

I’m a huge fan of poetry, and am always looking for new books to read, but I find that a lot of today’s poets opt for simple, straightforward words. While there’s nothing wrong with this, I prefer something that is more artfully crafted. When I was on the hunt for a new book to purchase, I stumbled across “Songs with Our Eyes Closed” – Tyler Kent White’s debut poetry book that came out last summer. Here’s why you need to add it to your collection.

Lighting up the Sky at The Lights Fest

I’ve mentioned many times before how I have a personal bucket list of things I want to do whether that be within the next few months or the next few years. In my most recent blog, I stated that it’s a goal of mine to check off as much as I can this summer. One of those items that’s been on my list is The Lights Fest.

I Jumped Out of a Plane: My Skydiving Experience

I’ve had a bucket list started since high school (possibly earlier). Skydiving has been on that list for quite some time; I’ve been wanting to go for years. While I’ve been wanting to go for what seems like forever, part of me had settled on the fact that I might just never get around to it. But here I am, one day later, having jumped out of a plane 10,000 feet in the sky.

Walmart Yodel Boy Put Out an Original Song and It’s Actually Good

For those who don’t know, 11-year-old Mason Ramsey is a viral internet star from southern Illinois who is quickly edging his way into the country music industry. After a video of him singing “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams at a Walmart in Kentucky went viral (Walmart themselves shared the video here), Mason has been making appearances all over.

First Impressions: Invasion of Cardi B

Ever since her release of “Bodak Yellow” in June 2017, artist Cardi B has been making quite the name for herself. I’d be lying if I said I don’t belt the song every time it comes on my car radio or at the bar. It’s the ultimate rags to riches jam and simply put: badass.

First Impressions: Shawn Mendes Drops Two New Singles This Week

For those who don’t know, I am someone who truly defines themselves through music. A musician myself, it is something that has gotten me through both good and bad times. I’ve been wanting to start a series reviewing new music for quite a bit, so why not start with Shawn Mendes’ latest releases?

Nic in the City

We’re barely two weeks into 2018 and I’ve been lucky enough to visit my favorite city twice. There’s just something about the New York City air (cue sarcastic joke about pollution) that gives off a vibe like no other. The atmosphere is incredible and this city is the reason why I know I’m not likely to ever move too far away. Consider this blog a dedication to the best city there is.

Thnks fr th Mmrs 2017

Screen Shot 2018-01-06 at 11.45.04 AM.png
For me, 2017 was a year of change.

This year has marked so many milestones in my life. Both big and small, good and bad; I’m very grateful for all that this past year has given and taken from me. While there are endless memories and people to be thankful for, here are a few things I’m looking back on with gratitude now that 2017 has come to a close.
