If you haven’t had the chance to go thrifting – I highly recommend you change that ASAP. Whether it’s an oversized sweater or a retro tank, there are so many hidden treasures you’ll stumble upon for a ridiculously low price.
This weekend I finally had the chance to go to my local thrift shop. It’s been long overdue for me to go on a hunt for vintage wardrobe additions, so I made it my mission to do so. My #ootd was centered around one of my finds.
What I Got
There are a few noteworthy items I picked up this weekend. One was a $2 olive green tank top with beaded detailing (stayed tuned for an #ootd dedicated to it) and another was this $7 denim dress perfect for summer!
I’m obsessed with all things denim (as most people are today) and knew this was a steal for a dress that embraced the ’90s fashion trend.
How I Wore It
As you can see in the featured image, I added my own bit of detailing to this denim number. The dress had a safety pin holding an open area in the back together, so I removed it and replaced it with a light pink ribbon I had laying around. It took less than a minute to do, no money, and pulled the look together.
I paired the dress with my prescription sunglasses from EyeBuyDirect (check out my review of the company here), a Scünci scrunchie, comfortable sandals, and my everyday necklace and rings. The outfit fit all of my must-have criteria: stylish and comfortable!
Next time you get the chance, head to a thrift shop near you to scout out some trendy, budget-friendly finds!
