OOTD: Let’s Go to the Beach

I’ve mentioned this in a few earlier blog posts: my #1 rule when it comes to fashion is comfort. Of course this doesn’t always apply, but I try to make sure my day-to-day wardrobe is suitable for day-to-day wear. Going on vacation this past weekend, I wanted to look stylish (gotta get that ‘gram) while still keeping my #1 rule in mind.

Rompers have become my go-to beachwear. They’re simple enough to throw on (and take off) over your bathing suit and complement the beach environment for any impromptu photo shoots (see below).

Romper: Molly and Zoey

I purchased the above romper at a shop in Pier Village, New Jersey called Molly and Zoey. While they can be a bit pricey, once or twice a year they have a sidewalk sale where you can sort through racks of clothing and buy two items for $15. I bought this romper at a sidewalk sale of theirs about two years ago and finally had a worthy occasion to wear it to. This romper screams bohemian vibes with its floral print, neutral colors and bell sleeves.

Sandals: Baretaps (Marshalls)

My sandals were borrowed from my mom (who I’m lucky to share sizes with so I can raid her wardrobe). I had been searching for a pair just like them for quite some time but couldn’t find a pair I was in love with. She found these at Marshalls (my holy grail store) and they not only looked cute but were also super comfortable (which was certainly an added bonus with the amount of walking I did in them).

I completed my look with a simple, slightly messy ponytail. I wanted my shoulders to be highlighted and the off-the-shoulder cut of the romper to be emphasized. A huge plus? While I looked put together, it took me about 5 minutes for me to get ready and head out the door.

What’s your go-to beach #ootd?

xoxo Nic
