My $5 Nail Holy Grail

For those who don’t know, I play guitar. While I absolutely love having long nails (and have no problem growing my own out), I can’t keep them long because it gets in the way of my playing. I don’t mind keeping my nails short, but when special events roll around an elegant nail really pulls your look together.

Luckily, I found a holy grail fake nail that actually stays on. imPRESS nails have been my go-to since I attended my first prom my sophomore year of high school. After trying countless glue-on nails (which would always fall off with one wrong move), I decided to buy these on a whim.

The Breakdown

How Long Do They Last?

These actually last for a full week or longer and you don’t have to constantly be watching what you’re doing to make sure you don’t accidentally snap them off. I’ve worn these to the bar, the gym and while doing loads of laundry and they’ve stayed put.

Do They Actually Look Real?

Every time I wear these I get compliments asking if I got my nails done. No one ever believes they’re fake when I tell them. That’s proof enough for me that these do the job! There are so many different shapes, lengths and styles to choose from to fit the look you’re going for.

Where Can I Buy Them?

I always buy them at my local Walmart, Target or Walgreens. You can pretty much find these at any drugstore, but usually the styles carried vary by store. If you buy them from their website, they’re a few more dollars ($7 in change rather than $5 and change).

Are They Easy to Apply?

I usually find myself putting these on right before I run out the door for an event. They take about a minute to put on making them extremely convenient for those who are looking for a last-minute fix.

Let me know if you try them out and what you think!

xoxo Nic
