Hello beautiful people! I have been a little busy with work and my internship lately, so I know that my blog is overdue for some new content! Never fear – I’m back (and better) with more reviews!
I always love trying out different face masks. With single application masks usually being around $3 they’re a fun way to splurge on yourself without splurging with your bank account.
Yes To is a brand that I have been keeping my eye on for a while now. Their products have always caught my attention on the shelves (great branding) and I am always seeing people buying their skincare products. Instead of having my first product of their be more of an investment, I decided it couldn’t hurt to throw one of their single application face masks into my shopping cart.
The mask I opted to try was the Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask (as you can see pictured above). I love charcoal masks because they always leave my skin feeling super fresh and my pours clear. The one thing that I have always disliked about mud and clay masks is that they can be such a pain to get off. You can spend a good 20 minutes trying to get all the remains off your face while still have some product left that you need to pat off with a towel. Since this was a mask that promised virtually no messy cleanup, I was all about trying it.
Product: Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask
Contents: One single-use sheet mask
- Deep cleaning
What I Did:
This mask is a peel off mask. I’ll admit when doing it that I totally felt like I was about to rob a bank. It isn’t a cheap paper mask that will rip when you go to take if out of the packaging and put it on but rather a slightly thicker and more durable paper mask. It was soaked in the charcoal formula and was easy to mold to my face.
Once I had the mask molded to my face I set a timer and when it was time to take the mask off it was done in one simple peel!
What I Think:
I love this mask mainly for the fact that is is effortless. Not having a huge mess or to continually lean over the sink splashing your face with water like with a mud or clay mask is a definite plus. I love things that make my life simpler and this mask did just that.
My skin definitely felt refreshed and moisturized, but since it is a single application mask I didn’t see any jaw-dropping results (which can be expected since results like that can’t be expected within a mere few minutes). Since I did really enjoy the mask, I’m curious to try some of their other products that I can use on a more regular basis to get more of a feel for the brand and the quality of their skincare products. I’m eyeing up their Yes To Tomatoes Charcoal Peel Mask since it seems to have the same promises of the single-use sheet mask but with more than one application.
Be on the lookout for more product reviews to come and as always if there’s something you’d like me to review, let me know and I’ll try my best to!
