21 and Fun at Iron Bar in Morristown, NJ

Last weekend in celebration of me officially turning 21 and fun I had some friends from college come up to celebrate! We went to Iron Bar which is supposed to be a pretty popular bar about 40 minutes from where I live.

It seems as though I waited forever to finally turn 21 with having a summer birthday. Now that I’ve finally reached it, it’s a little bit surreal. I think turning 21 made me realize just how old I’m getting and how quickly time is going (yes, I know I’m still very young!). It has made me realize that I want to take advantage of each day because time really does go by so quickly and in the blink of an eye.

The Rundown

The Atmosphere:

Being my first bar experience, I really have nothing to compare Iron Bar to besides frat basements and other non-luxurious party endeavors. We arrived at around 10 p.m. and the place (two floors) was pretty empty. However, by 11 p.m. the bar was crowded. The majority of people there hung out downstairs in an environment that reminded me a lot of frat basements with people dancing and having to squeeze and push past each other. If you don’t like crowded spaces, don’t go here. If you like being surrounded by people, this is your place!

The Drinks:

My friends commented that the drinks were likely watered down. While I didn’t pick up on this myself, I can see where they are coming from. Whether the bar waters down their drinks or not, I would suggest pregaming to save some money when it comes to going out and also potentially not having a strong enough drink. Their Sex on the Beach and green tea shots were both good.

Would I Go Back:

Yes! Honestly I think this bar has the perfect atmosphere if you’re looking for a fun, carefree night of dancing. I consider a bar like this perfect for a girls night, but there were plenty of people hooking up if that’s something that you’re looking for.

A toast to many more bar adventures to come!

xoxo Nic
