If you’re anything like me, you are always down for ice cream on a hot summer day. It seems that it’s all I crave once the warm weather hits. While I try my best to eat healthy, sometimes a girl’s just gotta cave. And when I do, I prefer to use the, “go hard or go home,” mindset.
After all, at the end of the day ice cream isn’t good for you, no matter how much a certain type is supposed to be ‘healthier’ or how hard we pray to the universe that it somehow becomes part of our necessary nutrition.
Located in Ledgewood, New Jersey, Cliff’s ice cream is known to be one of the best places to get homemade ice cream in the northern NJ. Even though many of my friends and family members have raved to me about it for years, I never got around to going. Until this past weekend, that is.
I don’t want to be dramatic, but I would like to think that Cliff’s has positively changed my life for the better. They have a ridiculous array of flavors that make me start drooling just thinking about them. The only negative is the fact that you have to pick just one (or you could just go for multiple. I’m not judging). I went for their Mounds ice cream and I truly can’t say enough about how good it was.
Even better, they give you the option to make a majority of their flavors into a milkshake if you’re feeling like bringing all the boys to the yard. If not, they have cups or your standard cone as well as specialty options.
If you’re going to go, be prepared to wait in line even if it’s only for a few minutes because there always is one. Do yourself a favor and go get a scoop (you deserve it).
