Summer is here and with that comes the days of wearing less makeup and soaking up the sun. While of course it’s personal preference, summer is a season where I don’t like having a lot of makeup on my face everyday. With that means keeping up with a skincare routine to make sure my skin is up to par so I am comfortable with myself being au naturel.
Serious Skin Care Phyto Pumpkin Scrub:
This facial scrub is definitely on the higher end when it comes to cost, but the quality of the product you get is unreal. I’ve used so many scrubs and cleansers and none has had the same effect that this scrub does. The pro of using a scrub rather than a plain cleanser is that you are not only cleansing your face but you are also gently exfoliating off dead skin leaving your face feeling ridiculously soft. Another pro about this scrub is the smell. I’m obsessed with anything and everything pumpkin and I’ve never wanted a beauty product to be edible more than this facial scrub. I try to use this once a day, but I do skip a day here and there to allow the natural oils of my skin to do their thing.
DISCLAIMER: This is a seasonal product so I always try and stock up. It’s worth every penny and lasts a long time!
L’Oréal Detox & Brighten Clay Mask:
I use this mask at least once a week to brighten my skin and leave it feeling extra clean and healthy.
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment:
This spot treatment is my holy grail when having to get rid of acne that pops up. Any spot treatment can’t do the job alone, so making sure you have a good routine outside of this is important, but when you need to get rid of a spot pronto this guy will do the job.
CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion:
I use this lotion on my face in the morning and before going to bed. So many people forget how important it is to moisturize because they fear lotion will only cause them to break out more. The truth is that if your skin is too dry, your body will produce more natural oils in order to compensate for the dryness in an effort to moisturize your skin on its own. This causes breakouts because of the excess oil that your body is producing. Make sure not to skimp out on moisturizing even if you have oily skin!
This is just my routine and what works for me. I’m in no way an expert. I’m just sharing what I do and hopefully some of these products will work for you, too!
