A (Point) Pleasant Day

Now that summer is officially here, I promised myself that I would take advantage of my last summer before I graduate to adventure as much as possible. While I can’t afford to go anywhere and everywhere that I would like to, my overall goal of the summer is to travel more and to travel often.

With that being said, I hope to do a bunch of travel posts on this blog including lots of day trips! I think that day trips are one of the most underrated forms of adventure. I find that often we end up spending so much time envying people who seem to have such interesting lives by traveling to out-of-reach and far away places that we forget we have the capability of making our own lives just as interesting even if it is just going down the shore for the day.

My first day trip adventure of the summer was to Point Pleasant Beach. I wanted to take full advantage of the 82 degree weather (you won’t be missed, Winter) so I asked some friends to come and spent my Wednesday soaking up the sun. I managed to go from ghost to lobster in a matter of a few hours (whoops).

I wonder if Casper and I are distantly related? #ghostnic

Worth the mention:

Black Anchor Coffee House: I was treated (bless you) to an iced coffee (my fav) from this coffee shop located on the boardwalk. To be fair I’m totally biased because if there’s coffee involved I’m there. However, in my opinion I don’t think there’s a more perfect combination than an iced coffee and the beach. Their French Vanilla was worth the calories (so much for that summer bod, though).

Convinced it’s actually coffee that flows through my veins.

Fingers crossed this is only the beginning of summer adventures.

xoxo Nic
